18 Months

18 months. Wow, I can't believe it. Time just seems to be flying by. Joshua is getting so big. He can finally be labled a "walker". He is getting better with that each day and is now even standing up by himself from the middle of the floor as opposed to using furniture or the wall to get up. I am still not used to Joshua walking around the house. It is still a little odd to me. Joshua is talking more and probably has a vocabulary of about 35-40 words. He can say a couple of short sentences such as "all done", "no more monkeys" and "up above". He is following more commands and recognizing more songs. He likes to imitate "Itsy Bity Spider". Joshua's new thing is telling us "no". He knows that he is not supposed to touch the outlets, so he likes to point to them and say "No, no, no". Joshua also likes to have mini tantrums at times as he doesn't like when we take things away or not give him something he wants. So, basically Joshua is a typical toddler. I really love this age. Since he is more active and verbal it is a lot of fun. We switched from a music class to a gym class on Fridays, and Joshua loves to play with all of the equipment.
