Never Wake a Sleeping Baby
The #1 rule of babies. I will repeat it, because it is that important. NEVER WAKE A SLEEPING BABY. Last night, I broke the rule. I didn't mean to break the rule, but I did and I paid for it. (Luckily, it was only a 15 minute set back). They say that the best way for a baby to sleep is on his back. Josh has now learned how to turn over from his back to his stomach. So, when Josh sleeps, he rolls onto his stomach. The problem is that he can't yet roll back onto his back. So, he gets himself stuck at the edge of the crib on his stomach. Then, he can't move back. So, last night when he rolled onto his stomach, I rolled him back onto his back. Then, he rolled right back onto his stomach again, and I tried once again to roll him on his back. But, he rolled right back onto his stomach. He then lifted his head, opened his eyes, gave me a sourpuss face, and cried. It was cute and sad all at the same time. I think I learned my lesson.
